Alice linford forte

Self-taught and in her early 30s, Margaret River region artist Alice Linford Forte has received credible recognition and support for her artwork. Crowded exhibition openings and high sales are testament to her burgeoning career as a painter.

Born in England, raised in Australia, and (until recently) in constant motion between her two homes. Alice soaks in the beauty of the world with artistic observance then translates with oil onto canvas. Artworks prior to COVID-19 depict scene-scapes of her travels in Morocco, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and European countries (2012-2019). With overseas travels on pause, more recent artworks feature Western Australian imagery ranging from coastal and forest scenes of the South West to the wild and expansive Pilbara (2020-2021).

Alice is able to beautifully recreate the places and people that have touched our hearts, delivering works of serenity and reflection in a whirl of colour. Personalised commissions of people, places or abstract colour themes are available by request.

Alice’s studio is located at Birchfield Farmstay, near Redgate, 15 minutes south of Margaret River. This is where Alice paints most days and you can visit her there during the Margaret River Open Studios event or by private appointment. Otherwise, Alice can be found indulging in her other passions… surfing, cooking elaborate meals, creating home-made fashion garments, soaking up the sunshine and nature, playing music, or bent over a puzzle. In deference to her love of puzzles, Alice has a select limited series of artworks now available as 1000-piece puzzles.
